Overview
Basic explanation of how contracts work with Liberis
Once an advance application is submitted there will be contracts to sign as outstanding
actions. There are three main ways contracting is handled:
- Liberis manages sending contract requests for all applicants
- Partner includes contract signing for primary applicant, Liberis handles any additional applicants
- Partner manages contract sigining for all applicants
There is nothing to do for option 1. Once the application is approved Liberis will email
the required signatories to gather their signatures.
For the other 2 options the partner can either use an iframe to gather all the signatures
for each applicant or they can use the API to create a more integrated experience. In both
cases the partner requests the contract pack status in order to get the urls or ids
necessary to gather all the signatures.
For option 3 the partner MUST ensure that any user that is applying a signature is in
fact the individual that corresponds to the signature being applied.
Typically, non-primary applicants will only need to sign one document. Any non-applicant
signatories will be managed by Liberis (e.g. Liberis signatories).
